Driving in Italy can often be a little tricky, especially for those who are not local. The Amalfi area is no different. The drive from Rome to Amalfi can be very congested in the busy summer
period, with aggressive drivers and limited of parking. So if you can, choose a ferry or hydrofoil service from Naples, to make your way to Amalfi.
By Train: You can easily reach Naples from Rome via train by - from Roma Termini. Get off at Naples’ main train station, Napoli Centrale. The journey takes around 90 minutes.
Fly in to Naples and take a ferry or hydrofoil service from Naples to make your way to Amalfi. The service is frequent and convenient, it gets you from Naples to Positano in around 75 minutes.
